Amanda is an Associate at Global Immigration Associates where she works with clients in the technology, consulting, automotive and e-commerce industries on employment-based and nonimmigrant visa matters including H-1B, E-3, TN, and PERM based immigration processes.
Prior to joining GIA, Amanda worked as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney and Judicial Staff Attorney for a circuit court judge in Oakland County, Michigan where she managed high-volume, fast paced dockets focused on family and juvenile law and gained extensive legal writing experience. As a staff attorney she was responsible for assisting the judge with legal and factual determinations and preparing draft orders and judicial opinions. As an assistant prosecutor, Amanda represented the people of the state of Michigan in cases involving juveniles charged with misdemeanors and felonies, represented the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services in cases involving child abuse and neglect, and evaluated abuse and neglect petitions for legal sufficiency.
When she isn’t at the office, Amanda enjoys coaching synchronized figure skating and spending time with her friends, family, and her two dogs.
