Susannah E. Nichols


Susannah is a Partner at Global Immigration Associates where her practice focuses on H-1B, L-1, TN, E and O-1 nonimmigrant visas, as well as PERM and EB-1 employment based green cards. She has extensive experience responding to Requests for Evidence from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and appeals to the Administrative Appeals Office, with a focus on corporate mergers and compliance.

Susannah works with clients in several industries, including financial, technological, non-profit and transportation.

Prior to joining GIA, Susannah worked as an associate attorney at Ogletree Deakins where she oversaw responses to USCIS Requests for Evidence and appeals. She also worked closely on H-1B, E, O-1, TN visas and employment-based adjustment of status (PERM and EB-1). Prior to Ogletree, she worked on removal defense, asylum and immigration cases before the Executive Office for Immigration Review, Asylum office, Eastern District of Virginia and the Fourth Circuit.

When she isn’t at the office, Susannah enjoys traveling, spending time with her dog, taking Barre classes and hanging out with friends and family.
