Velia Rosas is Attorney, Of Counsel at Global Immigration Associates. Her practice focuses on employment-based and family-based immigration. She is Board Certified in Immigration and Nationality Law by the Texas Board of Immigration Specialization. She has practiced exclusively in immigration law since 2003.
Prior to joining GIA, Ms. Rosas worked in private practice for over nineteen years. She has extensive experience working as a sole practitioner, where she represented clients in employment-based, family-based, and removal defense cases before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) immigration court.
Her experience also includes working as an Associate Attorney with the Law Office of Judith G. Cooper, PC. During this time, she worked with oil and gas companies, health facilities, and school districts in employment-based cases. Throughout her years in practice, she was responsible for H-1B, J-1 Waivers, K-1, L-1, U-1, PERMs, Waivers – Immigrant and Nonimmigrant, National Interest Waivers, Religious Workers, Asylum and Withholding of Removal, Adjustment of Status to Permanent Residence, and Naturalization.
In addition, Ms. Rosas has worked with various companies in H-2B cases for temporary workers. She is committed to helping companies and families find solutions for temporary and permanent residence in the U.S.
When she isn’t at the office, Velia Rosas enjoys biking and camping with friends and family.
